Kerry sings harmonies and some lead for Gloryland. Music runs strong through his veins as he was born and raised in Northeast Arkansas attending a small country church with a strong musical heritage. Many ancestors were members of Sunday afternoon singing conventions. Like many others in the area, Kerry learned to read music at a singing school taught by an uncle using scales and shaped notes painted on a cotton pick-sack. His first quartet singing experience was when he was barely in his teens, and Kerry has continued to be a part of groups almost continuously since then. Kerry is married to his high school sweetheart - Shirley. Together they have raised three wonderful children, Ky, Kasa, and Kale. Kerry and Shirley serve actively as Gideons and in their local church. |
